Can I afford it?
That's up to you. No one knows your financial situation better than you. However, even if it's on a limited basis, investing in the services of a quality personal trainer can help you make the most of the time you spend exercising by making sure that you are performing the right exercises in a correct and safe manner.
If cost is a concern, small group training (training with 3-5 of your friends or peers) is a wonderful option to help you stay motivated and gain the expertise of a certified personal trainer.
How many sessions per week are necessary?
That depends. You should aim for approximately one hour of physical activity every day. It need not always be strenuous, but daily activity is absolutely essential to your physical and mental health.
As far as strength training goes, 2-4 days/week (depending upon your body's ability to recover) is recommended. Some days you can train with a trainer and other days you may be able to train on your own so long as you are sure that you can maintain proper technique.
When can I expect to see results?
If you are consistent with your workouts, maintain a nutritionally supportive diet, and get adequate amounts of good quality sleep, you can expect to see noticable physical changes in 4-8 weeks.
Where do you train people?
We conduct personal training sessions in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Washington DC. We can work together in the privacy of your home, outdoors in your yard or nearby park, or in a local personal training studio.
You may be surprised to find out that our trainers can train you very effectively with nothing more than rubber tubing and your own bodyweight providing the resistance.
